NewsBank’s America’s Newspapers database offers current and archived electronic editions of nearly 600 local, regional, and national U.S. newspapers—all in one easy to search interface.  Now, through the Library of Virginia web site, state officials, legislators, and employees of state agencies (excluding colleges and universities) may search this resource at their desks free of charge.

Please register online with the Library of Virginia to gain access to the service.  You may choose newspapers and search immediately.

Your password will be emailed to you within one business day. It will be valid for a year from the day of registration. You will be asked to update your information every year in order to use the database.
