Public Schools Records Consortium (PSRC)
The Public Schools Records Consortium is a group of Virginia school administrators and records managers who meet six times a year at the Library of Virginia. The group has partnered with LVA and the Virginia Department of Education to bring clearer understanding and resources to issues around managing school records
LVA has established an educational listserv (Ed-SIG) to enhance communication by enabling records managers to pose questions to and exchange ideas with school records professionals from across the Commonwealth. To subscribe to Ed-SIG, contact Corey Smith.
The Public School Records Consortium (PSRC) is providing an in-depth workshop to all school divisions in the Commonwealth on May 5, 2015. The workshop will cover FERPA, FOIA, Special Education, a case study on records conversion, and the recently-revised GS-21. This will be a full day of education for all school officials but is especially targeted toward school records personnel. Breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee and vendors will be onsite for attendees to visit.
