Lloyd's Official Map of the State of Virginia from Actual Surveys by the Order of the Executive / corrected and revised by J.T. Lloyd to 1862, from surveys made by Capt. W. Angelo Powell, of the U.S. Topographical Engineers of Gen. Rosencrans' [sic] staff.

Description: This map shows railroads, roads, rivers, forts and batteries, towns, factories, mills, and names of residents. This specific map differs from LC Civil War Maps no. 465, the list of of new maps to the right of the map title and in the lack of any text following the map list.
Restoration Needs: This map was cleaned, repaired and lined with linen to provide support. The map also because of it's size (29.9 in x 47.2 in), has a new custom acid free folder.

This map was adopted for conservation by members of the Fry-Jefferson Map Society steering committee in honor of Luke A. Vavra, founding chairman of the Fry-Jefferson Map Society, and in memory of his beloved wife Patricia in 2010.
