The 2015 UCI Road World Championships are coming to Richmond, September 19-27. The courses will pass in front of the Library and will affect Library access. The Library’s lobby, exhibition, and the Virginia Shop will be open; the reading rooms and parking deck will be closed from September 21 through 25 and the entire Library will be closed on September 26. Description: The record contains muster rolls, morning reports, weekly reports, provision returns, inspection returns, payrolls, duty rosters, and supply reports of militia activities during active War of 1812 service.
Restoration Needs: This volume needs the hinge repaired and the loose leather spine leather fragments need to be reattached. Conservator will consolidate and dress the leather boards and spine. This volume will also be microfilmed as part of the cost.
Cost of restoration: $300

This volume was adopted in September 2012, by Neil Hening, in memory of William Waller Hening, Deputy Adjutant General for Virginia during the War of 1812. Please check back later in the Fall of 2012 for after-conservation photography.
