Weather Conditions: Partly cloudy, mid-70s
Report Author: Mary Harding Sadler
Report Date: 5/27/1999
Location: Mansion - Second Floor - Bedroom and Bathroom #2 (R)
Work Type: Demolition
Notes: Demolition of ceilings continues in the former Governor's Bedroom (this area will be Bedroom #2). Cellulose insulation, once held in the ceiling with cardboard "trays," fills the air. A large tarp has been placed in the opening between the Stairhall and this area to keep the spread of dust and cellulose to a minimum.

Report Author: Joseph D. Lahendro
Report Date: 5/27/1999
Location: Mansion - Second Floor - Northeast Bedroom and Bath (E) / Family Room (R)
Work Type: Demolition
Notes: Video and digital photos of an infilled floor opening that is the mirror image of the opening in the preceding note. It begins at the northeast corner of the fireplace stack, on the west brick wall, and extends about 3' south until covered by later plywood sheathing. The infill is normal wood flooring instead of reused paneling like above. Only the edge trim remains from the 1/2" X 2" later strip flooring, the remainder having been removed in this area. Like the preceding note, this opening appears to have been an early, or original, fireplace hearth.

Report Date: 5/27/1999
Location: Mansion - Second Floor - Private Dining Room, Bathroom, and Powder Room (E) / Bedroom and Bathroom #3 (R)
Work Type: Demolition
Notes: Video and digital photos of an infilled floor opening at west brick wall, next to the fireplace stack starting at its south corner. This appears to be the outline of an early or original fireplace hearth. It is about 2' deep (east-west) and extends from the southeast corner of the stack to the existing door and partition to this bedroom. The opening has been infilled with reused wood beaded and painted paneling boards. The edge of the opening is defined by wood edge trim matching the later 1/2" X 2" hardwood strip flooring (on top of the original wood flooring) and mitered at the corner.
