Notes: Preparations are completed for mounting the mechanical unit in the ceiling of the Scullery. This unit will supply tempered air to the South Ballroom. This is the same approach that will be used in the North Ballroom.

Notes: The process of leveling the 2nd floor over the North and South Ballrooms continues. Demolition of wall finishes to the south of the chimney mass reveals the limit of the 2nd floor north chimney mass, as well as earlier wall finishes 12" behind the existing plaster plane.

Notes: the opening for an 18' long linear diffuser is cut into the floor joists for what will be the Governor's Dressing Room. The tops of the joists are cut, reducing the depth of the joists by 2/3's of their historic depth, to make room for the mechanical duct. The mechanical unit will be hung in the ceiling of the Scullery adjacent to the south end of the Dining Room.
