Note ID: | MS703 | Weather Conditions: | Sunny, high 70s | Report Author: | Mary Harding Sadler | Report Date: | 10/2/1999 | Location: | Mansion - Basement - Hall (E) / Stairhall (R) | Work Type: | Miscellaneous | Notes: | The north basement stair is being extended at the basement so that it will reach the new basement finish floor level. Removal of the stringer from the brick wall appears to reveal the location of an earlier stringer going up in the opposite direction (from north to south). It appears that the older stringer location would have worked with the existing headers. |

Note ID: | MS704 | Weather Conditions: | Sunny, high 70s | Report Author: | Mary Harding Sadler | Report Date: | 10/2/1999 | Location: | Mansion - Basement - Restroom Hall (R) | Work Type: | Miscellaneous | Notes: | Work continues in the Elevator Machine Room. The opening to this space has been drywalled but not taped or mudded, lagging behind other finishes in the basement, probably because of the ongoing elevator equipment installation. The wall exposed in this space is one of the few remaining exposed original interior brick walls (historic wallpapers and finishes on this wall were removed during the demolition phase). |
