Report Date: 9/25/1999
Location: Mansion - North Elevation
Work Type: New Masonry Construction
Notes: Video and digital photos of workers installing new stair between driveway and gate to north enclosed garden. New stair is part of new retaining wall being built along south side of new driveway that connects with new northeast addition basement level. Existing soil being excavated for retaining wall matches the mixed clay and large river rock mixture found elsewhere on the site, and is believed to be historic fill material.

Report Date: 9/25/1999
Location: Mansion - North Elevation
Work Type: On-site paint removal
Notes: Video and digital photos of north portico following paint removal and before new paint priming. Northeast corner column has been removed, along with pilaster capital and base, for repair or replacement. Some new repairs have been made to the door frame. Wood matchstick paneling at the ceiling is obviously of the Victorian period and not original. Dutchmen in pilasters and columns indicate where former handrails were connected. Semi-circular fan light at north door was constructed as a unit separate from the door frame, which may be corroboration for theory that fan light is later than the door because originally the interior north stair landing butted against the inside of the door, not allowing for the fan light.
