Annual Virginia Literary Awards
Book Nomination

We are now accepting nomination submissions for the 2024 Literary Awards. Books published in 2023 qualify as submissions, assuming they meet all other criteria. Guidelines for 2024 Literary Awards nominations can be found here, and nominations may be submitted by completing the online form below or by printing and mailing the form to: Library of Virginia, Attn: Office of the Librarian of Virginia, 800 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23219.

The deadline for entries is March 1, 2024. (Or March 31, 2024, for the Children's Literature.) Four copies of each book must be submitted to complete the nomination.

Nominations for Nonfiction, Fiction, and Poetry are closed as of Mar 1st. Nominations for the Children's Award are closed as of March 31st.

The nominations for the Art in Literature: Mary Lynn Kotz Award are closed as of March 15, 2024.
