• Notes: Mary Ball Washington, mother of the president, drafted her will in Fredericksburg in May 1788, but did not die until August 1789; thus, imprint should be recorded as a 1789 title, being printed after her death, but the sole surviving copy seen by Hummel is now lost, so an actual date of publication, possibly 1790, cannot be determined; hence the conformance here to his dating.
  Sheet lacks colophon; both content and subscribers indicate that this broadside was issued in Fredericksburg; at this time the only printer operating in that port-town was Timothy Green, so the attribution here.
