• Notes: Hummel reported the title and recorded date in manuscript on verso of December 7, 1809; however, no such petition was entered in the House journal on that date; on December 6th, multiple petitions from "Loudoun, Hampshire, Shenandoah & other counties" were received by the House seeking an expansion of jurisdiction of judges of circuit-courts of chancery and increase in the number of appellate justices – topics embracing that reported by Hummel, so likely a misdating on his part; no action was taken on these requests during this session.
