• Notes: Preston made his annual report to the Assembly on December 13, 1817; only the four supporting documents were ordered printed; they were: (A) Account of money received Oct. 1, 1816 to Sept. 30, 1817; (B) Account of disbursements of same period; (C) General account of receipts and disbursements; and (D) Account of the fund for internal improvement.
  Only known copy, held in the state archives at the Library of Virginia, lacks imprint; Thomas Ritchie, the public printer, was ordered on December 13, 1817to print 250 copies of these documents for the use of the Assembly, so the attribution here to the partnership then conducting Ritchie's press.
